Star Wars Episode IV: A new hope.

BBFC rating: U
Released 1977
Directed by George Lucas
The original entry to the star wars franchise, and is there really much point of me reviewing this film, because let's face it, you've seen this film. But in the interest of fairness, let's do it anyways. What is seen as one of the first sci fi films that appealed to all audiences, a new hope has everything you could want from a film, to a mysterious bad guy, to a young hero and a bad ass sidekick, George Lucas has done really well to produce a master piece ( until he went and ruined it in 1999). As well as the fact that the characters of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo have gone down in pop culture history. So follow Luke and Solo on an epic adventure across space and enjoy amazing effects for the time and great story telling. Honestly if you haven't seen this film then you have been living under a rock or just haven't got round to living a life yet. Highly recommend it, go watch it now and watch it again, its that good a film.
Contains fantasy violence and distressing scenes.
My rating 9.5/10
