Kingsman: The secret service

Released 29th January 2015 (UK)
Directed by Matthew Vaughn
BBFC rating 15
After the success of Vaugh's take on the X men franchise, it was probably a safe bet to place him on another comic book movie. The bet has paid off well, with the flick doing incredibly well for itself, being a great stand alone film for the year,as well as one of the top of the spy films in 2015, Kingsman has the perfect blend of action and comedy to create a teen friendly film that doesn't just base all of its jokes on crude language. The acting is very well done, with great performances from Colin Firth and Taron Ederton, pulling together to create a well balanced story and action adventure at the same time. The only issue that I have with it is the pace of the story, it feels like it drags out the training for most of the film, then rushes into him being great at the job, which works well for the story, but can confuse some audiences near the end. There are also some scenes that don't fit with the action of the overall film, however it is a great action movie nonetheless and would highly recommend it.
Contains strong language and violence as well as scenes of injury
My rating 8.1/10
