Thursday Rant

The future of the D.C. extended universe The D.C. films have started to catch up to the on growing success of the Marvel Cinematic universe, so expect alot more D.c films to come out over the next couple of years. Now most people seem to be live that they are rushing it or that Sac Snyder could direct bull crap, but it makes no difference in the fact that this is what is most likely going to happen. Now some of it is confirmed and some is speculation, so don't expect everything you read here to be 100% accurate, also spoilers for man of stellar and Batman v Superman, but its not like I'm gonna go out and say that Batman is a woman ( he's not ) or that Superman dies in the end of Batman V Superman (#spoilers). Anyway let's get into the future of D.C. films. Wonder Woman I'm honing to be honest, I don't know much about this film, but I have done some research into it. From what's been released it looks like this film will be set in the final stages of Wo...

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Image
Released 2002 Bbfc rating PG In what was one of the worst Star Wars films ever seen, expect nothing more from the last instalment. From more of what made the last film boring and dull, comes the exact same thing, except this time it came with the worst thing to ever hit Star Wars since Jar Jar, Hayden Christiansen acting. In one of the worst performances of a character seen, watch the actor take time out of the story to talk about sand, as well as literally ripping off his own son from a new hope. The only step up from the last film is the increased action in the film, adding something to actually watch in the film. The film is so slow in moving, you have to wait over an hour to see the main villain. It gets worse when they just throw in the fact that the enemy has a massive army and the fact that the reason for the Clone Wars is Boba Fetts father. Honestly only watch this film of you are a completionist, or if your looking for a documentary on sand. My rating: 6.1 Contai...

Thursday Rant

The future of Star Wars With rouge one out this week there will be a lot of questions going around from the last film, such as who are Rey's parents, who are Finn's parents, who are Snoke's parents, is Donald Trump actually going to be president, or is it just a hoax, all intriguing questions, that sadly won't be answered by this film (well maybe the Donald one, I don't know). So don't expect much information about episode 8 or 9 from this film. So it will lead people to say ' what is going to happen with Star Wars' in the next couple of years, people like Georrge Lucas, and of course me, which is what I will be talking about below. Bearing in mind potential spoilers for the next couple of Star Wars films, as well as The Force awakens, and I won't be looking at Rouge one, as I'll be saving that for a later date, so let's get on. Episode VIII The follow up to episode 7 is due to land in cinemas late next year, and, according to previous ...

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Image
Released: 1999 Rated:PG When the news dropped that there would be another Star Wars, people were all excited for what was to come. However it didn't really turn out like that. The main problem is that it is generally pretty boring for most of the film. And the thing is, that's not what was supposed to happen. Like, if I said there was a star wars film with Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor and Samuel L Jackson, it would turn out pretty well, but that is not the case. The film is mainly just politics and talking (Theo's random politics area), followed by an occasional plot movement followed by people jumping with lightsabers. The other problem is the actual script for the film. It is just so bland, bearing in mind this is BEFORE Hayden Christiansen.  The only good part to the film was Darth maul, and he's only in it for about 20 minutes. If you where planning on watching a Star Wars film, please refrain from this one first, come back to it later. Contains mild violence ...

Thursday rant

The future of the marvel cinematic universe Its no surprise that the Marvel Cinematic universe will eventually have to end. But that won't be for a long time. This does ensure that Marvel will have to make changes to the castinng of the characters in the films, as a lot of the actors contracts will come to end soon. People like Chris Evans may stay for the long run, but he will more likely be behind the camera, directing the new captain. But it does ask questions as to what will come of the franchise after phase four is over, and I have come upbwith theories as to what will happen. Bearing in mind spoilers for most MCU films and that this is all speculation, so it could go any way. 1. Continuation The main theory is that it just won't stop at phase 4, and most likely go into 5. The films have done well to set up other charcters outside the main Avengers, such as the Falcon, Doctor Strange and War Machine. This will most likely run into new Avengers films, with Strange taki...

The Dark Knight Rises

Image
Released 2012 BBFC rating 12 In the finale to Christopher Nolans Dark knight trilogy, we see the greatness of Batman return in one of the most iconic story's he's been in. The Knightfall Ark has been well re-enacted in the last chapter to the story, with Christian Bale reprising his role one last time, this time facing off against Tom Hardy's Bane. The director has done well to sum up the trilogy, but it lacks a lot that the last film did. It was never going to be easy to top the huge success that was the Dark Knight, and it has shown. The film is a good one, but there is only 33 minutes of Batman in the whole story, but which has let it down slightly. The story though has given it a reason for this, but it just seems a little off balance. It would have been nice to see it thrash the ratings and opinions of The Dark Knight, but after all those performances, it may have been just too hard. I still be live this is a great film however, and still worth a watch Contain...

Thursday Rant

This is a new section I'm introducing, called Thursday Rant. It's basically where I'm talking about a certain theme or news arisen  lately in film or comic books. I hope you enjoy it and comment on your favourite batman in the comment section below. Thanks Batman v Superman: why does Batman kill? One of the main problems found with Batman v Superman dawn of justice, is the fact that Batman has been portrayed as a murder. Now in comic books and other forms of media, it has been clearly stated that Batman has the one rule that prevents him from killing. There are many reasons why he could be doing so, and I'm going to share some of the theorists behind it. Baring in mind spoilers for the film and also that this is all conspiracy, and am working off what I have, so it's not 100% accurate. 1. He's New to the role If you've read the comic Batman year one, then you'll probably see a lot of similarities to his methods in the book and the film. In Batman ...
