Many different people have had many opinions on Batman v Superman, with not many positive, and it seems o be the same feelings for justice league. While most critics have slammed the film, and I can see why they might, I feel the same as with Dawn of justice, it is underrated. The film follows directly after BvS, with the threat that Jessie Heisenberg's Lex Luthor was warning us about coming true, and he Earth coming under an invasion, with Batman ( Ben Affleck) bringing the Dc superheroes together to defend the planet. The film starts off with Baman trying to find information by taking out a common criminal, which is weird because in doing so, the criminal manages to jump between massive distances in the space of one shot. This sort of sums up the way the film has been put together, where it is sadly noticeable where Joss Whedons re-shoots are in place, as well as the clash of different styles. However, there is a difference between whether the film was made well, and whether it was enjoyable, and for me it really was. While it may not uphold to the legacy of the original animated series, it still manages to make you love the characters, with the right balance of action to dialogue, and is more comedic than previous DC films. While the film was not cut right in my opinion, it still manages to make sense of what it is doing, with the action that we wanted from Batman v Superman, and enough characters to create a spark in comic book fanboys. My only issues with the film are one said previously, with how it is cut and the narrative, and unfortunately the CGI. I think to completely CG the bad guy Steppenwolf was a mistake, and makes him sort of lifeless, which while fitting in with his character, makes his actions seem useless and without meaning and leaves him underdeveloped, especially with a character new to most mainstream audiences. As well as this, the removal of Superman's mustache is a bit lazy, with his face looking almost animated. However this new lighter tone for Dc has made the film more enjoyable for audiences, and while not being the best film in the Dc roster, it is certainly an entertaining one.
Contains mild bad language and fantasy violence.
My rating 8.1/10

  1. Great stuff bro!! Really enjoyed it, and has made me much more interested in seeing the film now. I like how you’ve balanced the good and the bad carefully; you’ve pointed out the bad bits, but made it still seem like a film worth seeing.

    1. Thank you my friend. I feel that for a film that has divided so many people it was right to note the good and the bad so people got the overall idea of it and had a real sense of what was happening
